EL POBLADO DE PEÑALOSA

A few kilometres from Baños de la Encina, archaeological excavations have recently revealed an astonishing ancient and important city of an advanced civilization that has been forgotten and mysteriously disappeared: that of El Argar (second millennium BC, Bronze Age), the first indigenous farmers (cereals, opium...) who practiced livestock farming and even knew how to use copper. The site is located on the banks of the Rumblar stream. It should be noted that it is possible to swim in a part of the reservoir of the same name a little lower down.
