It was built by Vandelvira from 1540 onwards, although the original plans are attributed to Diego de Siloé, who was the architect of the cathedrals of Granada and Málaga. And it is one of the most important works of the Spanish Renaissance, especially due to its magnificent main altarpiece of the Transfiguration, as well as the sacristy, with its decoration symbolizing vices and virtues. The audioguide is a valuable aid.
