Located in the former Palace of the Páez de Castillejo, it is considered one of the most complete archaeological museums in Spain, ranging from the Palaeolithic to the Islamic period. Note the Iberian lion of Nueva Carteya and the Roman sculpture of the god Mithra. And of course, especially his collection of very beautiful pieces from the Medina Azahara ensemble. It should be noted that the expansion work on this museum has made it possible to uncover the largest theatre in Roman Hispania, which is now part of the visit.
