CASA DEL GUADAMECI OMEYA
Private collection of sumptuary arts, grouping in five rooms pieces by the artist Ramon Garcia Romero.
Throughout its 5 rooms, this house-museum allows visitors to discover the leather-working techniques developed by the Umayyads in the 10th century, known as guadamecís. This sumptuous work features colors and plant or animal themes on original works (chests, decorative panels...). This collection is based on the work of the late artist Ramón García Romero, whose task of recovering and practicing guadamecís is now led by his nephew, Jose Carlos Villajero García. An instructive and dazzling journey.
