24 km southwest of Córdoba, this castle is of Arab origin, but its configuration dates back to the 14th century. Located on a hill, it overlooks the village and looks at all the river and land traffic between Seville and Córdoba. It is one of the most spectacular silhouettes of Andalusia and some of its parts date back to the 8th century. It is therefore not surprising that it was used as the location for the shooting of Season 7 of the Game of Thrones series.
