The Centro de Visitantes Laguna de Zoñar is located near the Laguna de Zoñar, the deepest lagoon in Andalusia. The interactive exhibition allows visitors to discover the dimensions, vegetation and dynamics of this lagoon, which behaves like a large inland lake. A panoramic view of the lagoon can be enjoyed from the belvedere, which includes the botanical trail, allowing visitors to see for themselves its interesting features. Inside the center, an enlarged view of a drop of water serves as an introduction to the explanation of the food chain of living creatures that inhabit the aquatic environment. The variety of insects, the importance of amphibians and reptiles, as well as the region's mammals, reflect the abundant wildlife that lives in this landscape. Finally, from the terrace, visitors can contemplate the lagoon and identify species such as the malvasía, an endangered bird species. Birds are the undisputed protagonists of this landscape.
