HOTEL SANTO DOMINGO * * * *
A charming hotel located in the historic center that offers thirty elegant rooms around a peaceful cloister
Located in the historic center, this establishment has seen many functions: 18th-century convent of the Los Mínimos order, college, headquarters of the Guardia Civil... then abandoned. Completely renovated in 1987, it is now a delightful place that has rediscovered its charm of yesteryear. Thirty rooms are arranged around a peaceful cloister, whose pink marble columns bear the mark of fossils and where you can enjoy the soothing sound of a fountain. All rooms are very elegant. Those on the second floor open onto the patio, while those on the second floor open onto a smaller corridor with a skylight. Fans of Almodovar will be delighted to know that it was the location for the 2001 film Habla con ella, and they can even ask for number 106, which hosted the couple formed by Marco and Alicia, the journalist and the torera. With a 2-fork restaurant and cafeteria, we recommend a visit even if you're not staying there.
