SANTIAGO PARISH CHURCH
Place of worship built in the Gothic-Mudejar style, auxiliary church of the parish of San Mateo until 1891
This place of worship was built in the Gothic-Mudejar style in the 16th century. It was begun in 1503 by Garci Méndez de Sotomayor, the commander of the Order of Santiago, and remained an auxiliary church of the parish of San Mateo until 1891. On the entrance portal there is an image of Saint James. Also decorated in the Mudejar style, the interior houses the Christ of the Column, a 17th-century work by Pedro Roldán, a famous Sevillian sculptor.
