It is a prehistoric deposit of great historical and scientific value with important remnants of the lower and middle paleolithic. For example, the presence of tools that belonged to the pre-Neanderthal and Neanderthal groups that lived in this place, in a period between 480,000 and 100,000 years B.C. During a recent presentation of this site, a tunnel-80 meter depth gallery was built to allow access from the outside to the middle of the site. It can also be a starting point for discovering the Sierra de Aras. A Sierra with hiking, speleology, paragliding or mountain bike. To get an idea of the types of viewpoints you can access up to the top, you can know that in distant times, a guet tower had been installed on the crown to monitor the borders. In the meantime, there were more than 25 villages dependent on the provinces of Córdoba but also Malaga, Granada, Seville and Jaén.
