EL HUERTO DE LAS INFANTAS - THE GARDEN OF THE INFANTES
Also named Recreo de Castilla, it is a romantic garden, located next to the Adarve walls, just below the Priego Castle. Without knowing the exact date of its creation, its existence has been documented since the middle of the sixteenth century, a minima. After a spectacular redevelopment, it was reopened as a public park in June 2013, helping to embellish this part of the city. For the small history, the garden and its pond, fuelled by the waters of the Fuente del Rey, which used to operate the five mills of the region, was the place of entertainment for many families who organized receptions and private parties during summer evenings.
