ROYAL SLAUGHTERHOUSES (CARNICERÍAS REALES)
Space that served as a slaughterhouse and market with a Mannerist style portal in Priego De Cordoba.
Designed in the 16th century by Francisco del Castillo, this space served as a slaughterhouse and market. At the entrance, the Mannerist-style portal with a triangular pediment above the columns is noteworthy. Inside, the building has a square floor plan with a central courtyard, with semicircular galleries supported by stone columns and a spiral staircase that connects to the lower level, which was used for slaughtering livestock.
