Mudejar style church with paintings of the Dutch school
Also known as the Cathedral of Alpujarra. Built in the 17th century to designs by Diego González, this ochre-toned church stands out against the white of the village, with its Mudéjar façade and Baroque interior. Once inside, you'll notice its floral motifs, its paintings by the Dutch school, its Baroque altarpiece and a painting of the Virgin by the school of Alonso Cano. On the outside, its brick bell tower looks like a lighthouse for the village.
