Le Coucou is one of those restaurants with a French name that was nevertheless created by an American. But don't worry: Chef Daniel Rose trained at the Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon and owned a gourmet restaurant in Paris. His New York restaurant offers French specialties that are delightfully authentic. The menu includes traditional dishes such as pike quenelles and rabbit, which are far from frightening the Americans and are a great success.
