LA BONBONNIERE
Great value cuisine at one of New York's most authentic dinners.
La Bonbonnière is one of New York's most authentic diners, open since the 1930s. The food is greasy as can be, and credit cards aren't accepted (there's an ATM, but it charges withdrawal fees). As for the decor, it's not vintage, but period! Nothing is expensive, so you can indulge in an orgy of pancakes, bacon, milkshakes and especially French toast (highly recommended with chocolate chips), all accompanied by unlimited coffee. New Yorkers, famous and otherwise, love it.
