BOBO
American cuisine with French influences in a restaurant with patio and library in Manhattan.
A restaurant to discover for a special occasion. The entrance is through a small door, and you have to cross a candlelit lounge to reach the upper floor and the tables. The decor is both cosy and elegant. In summer, a very pleasant and quiet patio is open. On the plate, dishes with an obvious French influence (the restaurant's library contains numerous works by Auguste Escoffier), with a menu featuring Niçoise salad and Provençal rib-eye steak. But it's the dishes typical of modern American cuisine that are the most successful, notably a surprising scallop risotto. For dessert, let yourself be tempted by the iced chocolate bar, made in-house with chocolate from the French brand Valrhona.
