IPPUDO WESTSIDE
Japanese restaurant offering delicious ramens and a variety of homemade New York dishes.
This Japanese restaurant that originated in Fukuoka in the 1980s took up residence in New York (in the East Village at first) in 2013. It offers delicious ramen, those noodle soups made with a fish or meat broth. Other Japanese specialties are on the menu, such asokonomiyaki, a salty pancake made with Osaka cabbage. Absolutely everything is made on the spot. It's impossible to make a discreet entrance, because every time a customer enters the room, the entire staff exclaims "Welcome!" in Japanese.
