Marea is perhaps the best known and most acclaimed Italian restaurant in the city, and that's saying a lot! This institution does not rely on original or particularly modern decoration, but on exceptional food. The famous red guide has awarded it two stars. The pasta is to die for, especially the signature dish: fusilli with octopus and marrow. To make matters worse, Marea, which is frequented by Manhattan's top brass, has a distinctly New York atmosphere.
