WO HOP
Excellent Chinese cuisine to enjoy in a historic restaurant in New York City.
This underground restaurant supported the peace movements of the 1960s. Noodle dishes and huge soups were served for 40 cents. At the time, the menu was written in Chinese only. In the afternoon, the staff would sit in the room and, with amazing dexterity, would transform the finely chopped pork and dough squares into delicious won ton. Prices have changed but the authenticity of old Chinatown has remained intact. Wo Hop is an excellent introduction to Chinatown and, as a result, receives many Westerners.
