This minimalist Japanese noodle bar is one of celebrity chef David Chang's creations. Since it's tiny (consisting of a long bar and a few high tables), there's often a line outside. The place is as popular with tourists as it is with New Yorkers. The specialties are noodle-based soups: if you like ramen, you won't be disappointed. The buns (or bao), a kind of steamed bun filled with pork, shrimp or mushrooms traditionally served as a starter, are divine.
