Chinese restaurant BYOB, one of the best east of San Francisco, offering generous Cantonese cuisine.
In its 20 years of existence (originally in Chinatown), the place is full of regulars, and that's a good sign. As for the staff, their friendliness is exemplary. The result: diligent service and a relaxed atmosphere. Phœnix Garden, which some New Yorkers claim is the best Chinese restaurant east of San Francisco, serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, chosen from an extensive menu and brought to you in generous portions, ideal for families. The house specialty, known throughout the city, is salt-and-pepper shrimp. The upstairs can be rented for up to 40 people, perfect for celebrating a birthday or anniversary. As the restaurant doesn't have an alcohol license, you're welcome to bring your own bottle of wine or beer - BYOB.
