SAKE BAR HAGI
Restaurant offering excellent Chinese cuisine in New York City.
The best-kept secret in New York's Japanese community. To get to Hagi, you have to go down some fifteen steps, where customers not yet seated regularly wait. Give your name and phone number to the hostess. You won't have to wait in vain. At Sake Bar Hagi, you won't come across any tourists. Almost everyone in the room speaks Japanese. Rest assured, the menu is also written in English. There are no traditional appetizers, main courses or desserts here. You have to choose between four and six dishes per person, as the plates are not very large. The photos will help you understand what you're about to eat. A word of advice: be daring! And don't forget to start or end your meal with a glass of Sake.
