Hotel, offering excellent value for money, in the heart of Gramecy, close to Union Square metro station.
Children under 18 are not admitted. Reservations strongly recommended. Located in the heart of Gramercy, a few blocks from the East Village, in a quiet 6-storey building, this 120-room hotel was voted Best Budget Hotel by NY Magazine and is, in fact, very popular. It is frequented by young - and not-so-young - people of all nationalities. Comfort is minimal, the rooms are narrow and, with the exception of four rooms, you have to share a bathroom on the landing, but the quiet location, the building and the welcome are friendly. The hotel offers its guests a launderette and a rooftop garden open in summer. The hotel was renovated in 2005, but its cramped rooms remain kitschy, with their old-fashioned wallpaper. Rumor has it that Madonna lived in the building before her fame, and that the hotel was also Woody Allen's HQ during the filming of his 1993 movie Murder Mystery in Manhattan.

The bathroom is on the level but in New York it is expected.
However 2 week stay, we never waited to use it.
The hotel is equipped with a lift, free wi-fi and a supervised for luggage, practical if you are in ramble all day and if you want to know our business values in safety.
The neighbourhood is very pleasant, not too traffic in the street, the nearby metro station Union Square (10 minutes on foot), the proximity of small supermarkets and restaurants, this quiet hotel and close to all.
The room and the comfortable, is equipped with a telephone, TV, an alarm clock, a sink, a hair dryer, heating and air-conditioning.
The decor is very kitsch, wallpaper with flowers, a little outdated wooden furniture. The hotel and the rooms are clean and room service is available.
Several preparations (large convenient, wardrobe, 2 bedside) allow you to sit.
Security is important, your credit card (room key) presented entering the hotel before reaching on the floors.
The staff are welcoming and attentive, always ready to ask for information, even on the " goods plans" for tourists (offers not miss vouchers discounts for some tours or restaurants, etc.).
