Great Views! Nice Staff. Good appetizers and drinks. Overall, it was a nice spot for a get-together after work.

This may be the first hotel I've stayed in where I don't need to pack my own tea. Excellent service all the way around and excellent food and drinks at the hotel restaurant and rooftop bar. I will definitely be coming back to scope out some of the other themed rooms.

Best stay in NYC ever! I have tried a couple different hotels in NYC and stumbled across the Library Hotel in my search. It doesn't help that I am a Librarian, thus added to the need to stay. I was thrilled with the location and how close it was to Grand Central Station and the Coach USA bus stop. Which allows fast travel to airports. Check in was fast and friendly and the front desk staff answered my questions easily. My room was very comfortable and it was perfect to curl up in after a long day. Bookends bar upstairs was the perfect spot to hide in a nook and enjoy a break. And Maison and Vine was a great place to start the day. I really couldn't have asked for a better hotel to stay at. Will definitely make it my go to spot when in town.

My wife and I stayed here over Christmas and had a very lovely stay. Some of the friendliest and most helpful staff in the business, and you can't beat the location right between Bryant Park and Grand Central station. Highly Recommended.

Love the 1pm checkout and the close location to all the subway lines. It saves so much time when visiting and makes the ride to JFK less painful.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. From the moment we checked in to the second we checked out, we received the most incredible customer service. We stayed for Christmas week and at check-in, the receptionist helped us get the most spacious floor plan within the room category we booked. The stay came with complimentary coffee, sparkling water, still water, and snacks from a classy 24-hour lounge. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff is top notch. Sadly, my husband caught a virus 4 nights within our 6 night stay and we had to check out early to go home. Arman, the front desk gentleman, helped accommodate our early check out request and was genuinely sympathetic to our circumstances. I travel to New York yearly for Christmas and I will always stay at The Library for all my future visits. Thank you to everyone who works at The Library! Great customer service is rare these days, but your staff is top notch! (There are some reviews which comment on the small size of the rooms. As someone who comes to NYC regularly, the room size is comparable to any other hotel in the city at the same price point).

Great place. Just couldn’t get the heat in the right spot.

Great smaller and intimate hotel! Well-located. The staff are terrific -- Iulia and Billy, for example -- are as helpful as they can be. The rooms are, er, compact (this is Manhattan, after all), but the space is well-designed and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, and the lounge on the second floor is great: spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked with fruit, snacks, and a fresh-ground coffee machine. The location is *great*, right on Madison and 41st. The hotel is quiet too.
I'd stay at the Library Hotel again in, well, a New York minute. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located hotel with outstanding staff. A great midtown option for all the sights. Lovely bar on the 14th floor with a solid drink and food menu.

Library Hotel is conveniently located between Bryant Park and Grand Central Station (both are just a few minutes walk away), and thus close to two subway stations as well as two of the three Coach USA bus stations connecting Manhattan with Newark Airport. It‘s a long, narrow historic building with a total of 13 stories, and a beautiful facade with art deco elements. Despite the great location in Midtown, the hotel was conveniently quiet - we stayed on the 12th floor, lower floor levels might be more impacted by traffic noise.

The hotel is themed around books and libraries, also the hotel rooms (ours contained books on Asian religions). On the 1st floor, the reception is on the right and the restaurant on the left. On the 2nd floor, a lovely reading room can be used as guest lobby. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, granola bars and fresh fruit are available free of charge 24/7, which is a very nice touch. On the top floor (which is actually the 13th floor yet labeled as 14th floor as 13 is an unlucky number), a rooftop bar provides stunning views of the nearby buildings - drinks are served from 4pm, but the rooftop terrace is accessible 24/7.

Our deluxe room was on the 12th floor and came with a comfy queen-sized bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub that also served as a shower, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion) in small bottles (that were refilled daily), and bathrobes. The window could be opened, which we appreciated, but the room also had an A/C. Despite the window, the room was rather dark, which we did not mind at all.

Apart from the convenient location, we liked the reading room and rooftop bar most. The hotel has many nice little touches, staff was very friendly, and our room well kept.
