Shampoo no conditioner
Advertised room service there is none. Unless you consider maid service room service.
No food to order to your room. But they said. The bar grill serves food. No. They dont its just a bar. Unless it was on another floor, which they Should make you aware of at check in. Only a bakery café exists. Used the shower in the bathroom then tub clogged so I was showering standing in the water. Finally after waiting and hour for them not to fix the door. We met with the hotel manager and were given another room. Also the floors outside of the lobby smell like unwashed hairy armpits.
Meanwhile being pressed for time to see a show. Overall would not be staying here again based on my experience.
Water and coffee advertised as free is only available on 4th floor. Not every floor or even in your room. Having said that the ice machine is broken a d there hasnt been any coffee yet.... You pay a "facility" charge which I was told was for the gym and bar. We won't use gym and bar is not free! How is it a facility. You pay extra for 4☆ its the facilities that make a hotel 4☆ so why are you paying $120 extra again. Lers face it coffee making facilities 5 floors away can hardly be collected in your pjs. The hotel is old. Dingy. Smelly. Staff are unhelpful. Fans are old. Windows and blinds are dirty and dusty. Right now it's the worst money ive ever spent and its taken an age to save it.
I waited at the reception desk for ages yesterday to discuss clothes storage problem, while listening to staff in room chatting and laughing and not one person came out to assist.
Some things to note... no coffee in rooms, no wash cloth in bathrooms. Lobby is under construction and if they tell you to use electrical outlets (I needed to charge phone) on floor - Don't, they are not safe and don't work anyway. If you arrive early they will charge you to store your luggage. $2 before check-in, $3 after check-out but you can go in to retrieve items if needed.
I booked through Expedia all the pics that they have on Expedia and the hotel website is a scam
This is how the rooms really look like with smelly carpet.
Paid 1200 for this for 4 nights.
Extremely disappointed!!
DON NOT BOOK HERE!!!!
Don't let the often not pleasant attitude of the front desk employees keep you from enjoying a night 100 ft from Times Square with Sound proof rooms, modest amenities which means your not putting down $100 on a extra fee for a hotdog and a Fallout shelter to boot what else can a "Doomsday Prepper" i mean tourist want.
They don’t keep your luggages either, unless you pay for an extra fee as well; same shock again as it’s the first time I see this. Even the cheapest hotel I’ve been to offer that service for free.
Impossible to get Netflix work on the tv. Needed to install a bunch of app, scan some qr code, yet never manage to get it work…
Staff will be courteous and helpful. The rooms are on the small side - and if you're not used to NYC prices the rate may feel high but it's really not. It's comparable with the other hotels in the area as is the amount of space. Did not try any of the hotel restaurants - we were too close to good pizza and food carts to bother. I will say that's the other nice thing about the location - Patzeria Perfect Pizza is next door (yes there's a line, wait in it anyway), Hurley's Restaurant & Bar is like two blocks away, Pati's is right on the corner for breakfast.
Overall would recommend for the theater tripper.
Editing to add - the elevators are slow. Don't fall into the trap of thinking "we can leave late, the theater is right across the street." It is right across the street but everyone in the hotel is also waiting for the elevator to go right across the street. Plan extra time.
