Nora Tobbe opened her first gallery in SoHo in 1986. In 1988, she moved to Greene Street, which she left in 1996 to settle in Chelsea (she was one of the first to do so). In this space, young talents such as Kim Gordon, Karen Kilimnik, Elke Krystufek, Thomas Ruff, Collier Schorr, Jane and Louise Wilson are presented. The name of the gallery is a tribute to the famous art dealer and photographer Alfred Stieglitz, who made one of his greatest exhibitions in Anderson Galleries' Room 303.
