It was during a period of prohibition, when the sale of alcohol was prohibited, that this bar opened its doors. The place was an illegal point of sale where customers came to fill empty jars with beer. Once the prohibition was lifted, the bar found another illegal activity to develop in the 1960s, craps tables. Today, the bar has settled down, but through its decoration, it aims to revive the spirit of yesteryear. Photos of Frank Sinatra and some notable personalities with disturbing actions still adorn the walls.
