You'd think you were in London. Guinness, Bass on tap, sawdust on the floor. Go around 4 p.m., before the office lets out, and you'll witness a veritable flood of authentic New Yorkers. Fridays are for drinking beer on the sidewalk. This bar, one of the oldest in Manhattan, is warm and inviting, and you can feel the need to relax and communicate. You can eat here on the go. It's also a good steakhouse.
