Summer for the City

Artistic performances and concerts, totally free of charge, are organised in the open air for a fortnight.
Lincoln Center organizes free art performances, family events and concerts all summer long. Most of them take place in Damrosch Park, right next to the Metropolitan Opera House and the David H. Koch Theatre. The orchestra shelter, like a curved shell over the stage, is used for acoustics. Each year, musicians (Patty Griffin, Jeff Tweedy), stand-up comedians (Roy Wood Jr. in 2019), as well as film screenings and contemporary art performances are welcomed.
