THANKSGIVING
Go there and contact
For Thanksgiving, a huge parade of giant balloons takes place every year on Central Park West, in front of an audience of stars.
This typically American family celebration, the most important of the year, commemorates the meal given by the first immigrants - the Pilgrim fathers - in thanksgiving to God and the natives for enabling them to survive the first winter in the New World. On the menu: turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, cornbread, apple and pecan pie. A huge parade, watched by millions of Americans on television, takes place every year from 77th Street on Central Park West to Macy's, in front of a star-studded crowd.
