WTC 5 Tower, on the site of a tower destroyed during the attacks of September 11, which houses the JP Morgan bank.
Partially destroyed during the September 11 attacks, World Trade Center 5 was razed to the ground for security reasons. After much prevarication, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced in July 2023 that the future building would be a residential tower, with a third of the planned 1,200 apartments intended for low- to moderate-income households. This will be the only residential tower in the World Trade Center complex. Construction is due to start in 2024... but all is still subject to change.
