LIPSTICK BUILDING
Building less wide with some height in Manhattan, is mostly occupied by law firms
This skyscraper, inaugurated in 1986, takes its name from its shape and colour, which evokes a lipstick stick. Its architecture is the result of city regulations that require certain buildings to be narrower from a certain height so as not to prevent light from bathing sidewalks and the street. Another highlight of the building's armoury was that Bernard Madoff ripped off his clients from the 17th floor for $65 billion until his arrest in 2008! Today, it is mainly occupied by law firms.
