Anish Kapoor's fake twin of the famous Chicago landmark.
The Bean (or Cloud Gate), Chicago's famous landmark, now has a fake twin in Tribeca: the New York version, also by Anish Kapoor, is less imposing and more rounded in shape (you can't walk under it, unlike the Chicago Bean ). But, like the original, the surrounding buildings are reflected in it as in a distorting mirror. The sculpture took up residence in February 2023 at the foot of one of the most emblematic buildings in Tribeca, 56 Leonard Street, also called Jenga Tower because of its deconstructivist style.
