The former Mid-Manhattan Library has undergone a facelift to become the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, a modern library topped by a penthouse with a terrace featuring a few tables, from which you can admire the skyscrapers rising all around from close-up. This is one of the branches of the New York Public Library, so it's possible to consult books, use the self-service computers or even the wifi.
