FEDERAL RESERVE BANK

Large world reserve of the precious metal offering a very interesting and free guided tour on the economic history of the country
This building, built in 1920 and inspired by Florentine palatial architecture, is the bank of banks. It is part of the United States Federal Reserve. Its five underground floors house a good ten thousand tons of gold - the world's largest reserve of the precious metal - that can be seen through a few portholes. Sparkling! The guided tour, free and in English only, is very interesting for those with a penchant for the country's economic history, but not always easy for non-bilingual people to follow.
