A two-story museum with one of the world's finest collections of Asian art and temporary exhibitions
Founded by John D. Rockefeller III in 1956, the museum's aim is to foster understanding between the American and Asian peoples, and to raise awareness of this civilization. One of the finest collections of Asian art in the world: objects covering the entire Far Eastern culture, from Mongolia to Japan (from 2000 BC to the present day), in a beautiful scenography. Temporary exhibitions, too, presented on two floors and frequently renewed. Always accompanied by themed lectures, concerts and film screenings. A must-see!
