LIBERTY PARK
Green space with a sphere sculpture, a 9/11 museum and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
This 4,000-square-meter elevated green space overlooks the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Open since June 2016, it houses The Sphere, a sculpture that stood, at the time of the 9/11 attacks, between the twin towers. As a symbol, the building remained standing but was nearly cut in half by aircraft debris. The park is home to another bronze statue, named America's Response Monument. It honors the American Special Operations and the actions taken after the terrorist attacks of 2001.
