THE CHARLES A. DANA DISCOVERY CENTER
Information center at the edge of the Harlem Meer as an exhibition center with information on geological formations
It is an information centre, located almost at the northeastern tip of the park, on the banks of the Harlem Meer (Harlem Basin), and the first to have been built specifically to serve as a visitor centre in 1993. One would think it would be much older than that, with its cottage-like appearance and bucolic air, set on the pool and framed by willows. The sites also serve as an exhibition centre, with information on geological formations in particular.
