RIVERSIDE PARK
Sloping park with paths, tree beds, sculptures, playgrounds, barges and private boats.
Along the Hudson River on Riverside Drive, between 62nd and 158th Street, Riverside Park is longer than Central Park and much less frequented. All on slopes, alleys and massive trees, its sculptures and marbles give it the appearance of a Parisian park. With its playgrounds, it is possible to stroll around by bike or on foot, with or without a picnic, and continue along the bay to the marina (at 79th Street), which houses about a hundred barges and private boats of all sizes and often of great beauty.
