Park surrounded by a forest of buildings in Manhattan offering a multitude of free activities during the summer months

Located just behind the New York Public Library, the park is surrounded by a forest of buildings, including the remarkable Art Deco American Radiator Building (or American Standard Building), now home to the Bryant Park Hotel. Fountains, chess players, gazebos and lounging are all on the agenda. On sunny days and in summer, benches, chairs and lawns are crowded during the lunch break. In summer, the park hosts a free open-air film festival that's well worth a visit. New Yorkers set up with their blankets and picnics hours in advance to find seats. During the summer months, you can enjoy a multitude of free activities: ping-pong tables, concerts, poetry readings... Bryant park is also one of the places where free yoga sessions are organized throughout the summer (times indicated on the site). Mats are provided, so all you have to do is put on your gym suit and join the hundred or so participants already in cobra position, under the amused eyes of passers-by. In winter, when the skating rink and Christmas market take over, the park is one of the most magical places in New York, even if it is overrun by tourists. Bryant Park's Christmas tree isn't as famous as Rockefeller's, but it's beautiful all the same. Grab a hot chocolate (or mulled wine!) and sit on the benches around the merry-go-round, which plays Edith Piaf and Frank Sinatra, to enjoy the exceptional setting.

MAGNIFIQUE !
