Opening in 2019 as part of the Hudson Yards real estate development, The Shed is a cultural center housed in a building as remarkable as the exhibitions it presents. A world away from a traditional museum, this "shed" is topped by a sliding shell that can be expanded as needed. In addition to this modular space called The McCourt, The Shed includes two floors where eclectic exhibitions are presented and a 500 seat theater. All artistic disciplines are represented here. Superb and innovative.
