Currently one of New York's most important rock clubs, with a capacity of 1,200 people including balconies, Irving Plaza hosts classic rock, alternative rock and metal bands, but not only, as hip-hop, R'n'B and pop artists also perform on its stage. The acoustics are first-rate and the viewing angles generous. Saved from demolition in the late 1980s, the club has undergone several renovations over the years (most recently in 2019), but still retains its ballroom atmosphere.
