It's not just in Williamsburg that American cuisine is reinventing itself. The beautiful and beloved Prospect Heights area has always been a magnet for restaurateurs looking for new flavours. Olmsted, with its weekly changing menu, is an example. For rather reasonable prices, you can enjoy a "cuisine d'auteur" that strives to find new ways to prepare seasonal vegetables, picked from the garden at the back of the restaurant! Olmsted cultivates the atmosphere of a neighbourhood restaurant, but all of New York comes to eat there.
