We're not sure if the place is completely legal, but in Brooklyn, that doesn't stop these atypical concert halls from existing! Located in the middle of disused factories, Shea Stadium can be reached by climbing the stairs of a house. Admission is often charged (US$5-10), but inside, beers rarely cost more than US$3-4. The fairly large space plays host to all kinds of music, from electro to punk rock. Be sure to catch a memorable concert before the authorities close the place down for good!
