Disused warehouses in Manhattan used as the setting for the mythical scene from the movie "Once Upon a Time in America"
Disused warehouses, a cobbled street and, in the background, the huge, almost threatening Manhattan Bridge: this mythical scene from Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America (1984), with Robert de Niro, was shot here. It was put on the film's poster and since then, many moviegoers have come to replay it. If you look closely, you will notice that the Empire State Building is clearly visible between the iron legs of the Manhattan Bridge.
