Museum with a unique collection and an absolutely stunning model in Queens housing an imposing metal globe in front
Built for the 1939 Universal Exhibition, the building stands in the huge Flushing Meadows Corona park. Opposite is the Unisphere, an imposing metal globe built for the 1964-65 Universal Exhibition. Two points of interest: his unique collection of Tiffany's pieces, and the Panorama, an absolutely striking model of all five boroughs of New York, made for the 1964 Universal Exhibition. Along the high corridors, we fly over a perfectly proportioned reproduction of the Big Apple, about 1,100 m2 in size!
