Exhibition space and garden in Queens offering an opportunity for artists to exhibit large sculptures.
The Socrates Sculpture Park is one of those unique projects that make New York so unique. Both an exhibition space and a garden for residents (many free activities take place there), it offers artists the opportunity to exhibit sculptures of often imposing size. The garden occupies an abandoned former piece of land on the banks of the East River, which was rehabilitated in 1986 when a coalition of artists came up with the idea of creating it. To see absolutely in good weather and during a visit to the adjacent Noguchi Museum, if only for the view of Manhattan..
