FLUSHING TOWN HALL
Beautiful building in Queens organizing a very well conducted and commented tour as well as many activities to the children of the neighborhood
This handsome 1862 building has long housed Flushing's town hall. Now it's a residents' association that promotes Queens and its heritage. The Town Hall has a strong interest in music, especially jazz, and holds frequent concerts and exhibitions. For Queens is a borough of jazzmen, and many of its most prestigious exponents (Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong) have lived here. The Jazz Trail Map on this website allows you to discover the homes of these glorious artists, the reference clubs and the museums that talk about them.
