Historic and authentic restaurant offering traditional and generous Italian cuisine in New York City.
More authentic than this Italian restaurant held for five generations by the same family, it is not possible. The decoration could seem vintage, even old school, but it is simply old because Mario's has been open in the Bronx since 1919! The traditional Italian cuisine is of a very high quality. Not many pizzas but about fifteen pasta dishes and also many tasty preparations with meat or fish. It is very good and the portions are more than generous. A change of scenery.
