LES TRUITES DU LIGNON
Trout are high at an altitude of 1 200 metres in twenty-two basins and five ponds fed by fresh Lignon waters, providing them with a taste quality comparable to the wild, certified by the Mountain Trout designation, and sold on local markets in the region in an aquarium and shop vehicle. From spawning to marketing, it takes between 16 and 36 months. Fed with a carefully selected diet (cereal-fish meal and oil) and rationed after water temperature, very variable. Fish farming produces about tonnes of trout in the year, tonnes of rainbow trout (white or saumonée flesh), tonnes of fario trout and one tonne of brook trout. For a part of the family fishing, a pond of fario trout and a pond of rainbow trout are available in summer.
