The Cueva de Ambrosio is a unique place. Before the arrival of the settlers, in the heart of this 300 meters long cave and covered with more than fifty rock paintings, the natives performed religious ceremonies. The use of red and black colors and the recurrence of concentric circles recall similar paintings found on the island of Junventud. Later, the cave was used as a refuge for runaway slaves and pirates. It was only in 1961 that it was rediscovered and recognized for its heritage value.

Mouais... The visit of the cave has nothing magic. Let us just say that it is not Lascaux. Moreover, there were the bald people mouse who sombra me above right. I would have better done to stay for sunbathing on the beach!
